Paradise

I heard there was a new Coldplay song circulating, but didn't bother looking into it figuring it would automatically become a Top 40 song that I would come across inadvertently (may I add here that I haven't listened to the radio for years now) anyway- whether it be playing on a Deli shop radio or on a friend's iPod.

Then today, I did come across it unwittingly, and fell for it instantaneously and shamelessly.

In fact, the first time I listened to Coldplay's new single 'Paradise', I cried. It may have something to do with my more recent tendency of crying to beautiful songs (I'm tough, I swear), or the subject of the song, which presently resonates with me to a capacious extent: "When she was just a girl/ She expected the world/ But it flew away from her reach so/ She ran away in her sleep/ And dreamed of/ Para-para-paradise, para-para-paradise, para-para-paradise/ Every time she closed her eyes..."
